Rare Beatles Taiwan pressings on red vinyl. Sgt Pepper's, Help! & Meet the Beatles. Rare pressings with misprints.
These are some really rare pressings of some classic albums. A fascinating piece of cultural and musical history
The albums pressed in this period in Taiwan were printed on thin paper with a thin plastic covering, therefore the plastic has started to deteriorate on some of the covers, as shown in the photos. Since I acquired the records, they have been stored in a protective outer sleeve to prevent any further damage.
I would grade the records as follows:
Sgt Pepper’s – VG (plays with background crackle)
Help! – VG to VG+
Meet the Beatles – VG
As you can see from the photos these are really cool collectors items for any Beatles fan. I particularly like the cover of ‘Meet the Beatles’ where the band appear to have been drawn to appeal more to a Taiwanese audience.
The Sgt Pepper’s sleeve and labels are full of typos/ misprints, which for me adds to the appeal.
