Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab "The Beatles – The Collection"

This auction is for one Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Original Master Recordings, 13 record Beatles set.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has been the undisputed pioneer and leader in audiophile recordings since the company's inception in 1977. Established by dedicated audiophiles, Mobile Fidelity's first and foremost goal was to offer faithfully reproduced high fidelity recordings that would compliment the numerous advances occurring in audio delivery systems. Throughout its history, Mobile Fidelity has remained true to this goal, pioneering state-of-the-art technologies and setting audiophile standards that remain in place today.

In 1982, Mobile Fidelity released a limited edition, boxed collection of 13 Original Master Recording™ LPs by The Beatles titled "The Beatles - The Collection". The Collection is lauded by critics and fans worldwide and sold-out completely within the first year.  I bought this set new and it has been sitting on a shelf in my closet all of these years. The records are in mint shape, though the box has a scuff mark.

These albums are recorded on the Ultra High Quality Record™, created in 1981. It is aimed at the high-end audiophile; the UHQR was unlike any other LP available in the marketplace. Pressed on specially formulated 200-gram virgin vinyl (known as "Super vinyl"), this superior quality analog phonograph record was limited to 25,000 pressings per title to ensure quality standards. Today, both OMR LPs and UHQRs continue to solicit higher and higher prices on the collectors' market.

Included in the box set are the following:

Artbook – contains a Certificate of Authority with the Limited Edition Number and pictures of the album covers.

The 13 albums are:

 Please Please Me

With the Beatles

A Hard Day’s Night

Beatles for Sale

Help!

Rubber Soul

Revolver

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

The Beatles (While Album)

The Beatles (While Album)

Geo-Disc - This is "The precision cartridge alignment system, from the makers of Original Master Recordings. Geo-Disc enables you to achieve critical alignment to within .003 of an inch in moments, not hours. Geo-disc exclusively addresses the three most important factors of alignment: proper off-set; proper tracking angle and proper overhang".

I will also include the very very rare album, "Rarities". It is near mint to mint condition.

Included on this album:

Love Me Do -                    Newest member Ringo Starr was not the drummer

on this release but he is the drummer on this rare

                                           track.

Misery -                            Originally release in mono as a Starline single this

                                         is the stereo version.

There's A Place -           Also the first time in Stereo in the U.S.

Sie Liebt Dich -              She Loves You in  German and in Stereo!

And I Love Her -             Ending guitar riff repeated six times.

Help! -                             The singles version (different vocal than the album).

I'm Only Sleeping -        This is the British version where verses were

                                         rearranged.

I Am The Walrus -         There were three versions of this song. The shorter

stereo version from Capital and two longer British

versions. This combines the two longer versions.

Penny Lane -                 Extra Horn riff at the end and in true stereo!

Helter Skelter -              In Mono with many strange changes.

Don't Pass Me By -      Also in Mono and audio pitch changed.

The Inner Light -            Never on a U.S. Album.

Across The Universe - The original never before released version.

You Know My Name -  Obscured stereo track.

Sgt. Pepper Inner Groove - unreleased gibberish at the end of the song
