Description
First want to mention that I'm not a record expert or record collector. I purchased this record back in the 60's at the Eastern States Fair in Massachusetts, this band The Buck Rogers Movement was there one day playing this record and selling copies of it. I really liked the sound so I purchased this record and have had it ever since. I played the record a long time ago but afterwards it was put away in a box. I did some research on this band and this record and found that it's called Garage music, and this band and this record are rare. I also found that the record label on one side is wrong, the song title on this record is "Baby Come Home", it should be "Baby Come On" which makes this record even more rare and collectible. Condition: Played both sides of the record before listing it and both sides play very well, no skips, has an older recording sound to it but it is from the 60's. Vinyl on both sides looks good, no deep scratches, some minor, faint ones and some smudge marks but once again none of this affects the play. Record label has play wear to it (black ring mark) and initials on one side, the initials are mine and I put them on the record years ago (see photos). Record will come with a paper sleeve, however, it's not the sleeve that goes with this record, sleeve is only to help protect the record. I do not have the original paper sleeve. I was reluctant to sell this record because of it's rarity, but I've owned it for years and it just sits in a box so I thought it's time to let someone else enjoy it that collects records. I found the following information on the Internet:
Buck Rogers Movement's Baby Come On was originally released on the 21st Century label in 1967 and was also available on part 5 of the Son Of Gathering Of The Tribe compilation series. It's got another loungey vocal but this time with a more tense organ based melody. Buck Rogers Movement was a local Massachusetts band that featured local indie legend Ray Mason .
