Description
This is a rare Vogue picture disc from 1947. Truthfully, the songs and singing are secondary to the pictures themselves. But the music is by Marion Mann, backed by the Bob Haggart Orchestra. It was produced by Tom Saffady for Vogue Records and made in Detroit, MI by Sav-Way Industries. It is # R758. Musically the most interesting thing, in my opinion, is that the song Long, Strong and Consecutive was co-written by Duke Ellington. It is backed with You're Gonna Hate Yourself in the Morning. These records are not your ordinary 78's. They are actually a metal platter onto which the picturw is attached, the coated in vinyl for the music. These seem to be selling for between $20-$35, so my starting price reflects that, plus free shipping is included. Good luck and happy bidding
