Description

Up for sale is an extremely rare, historical 10-inch Shellac 78 RPM record from The Gramophone Company (Gramophone Concert Record), recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria, before 1910. This record features the pioneer actor and director of the Bulgarian theatre, Ivan Popov (Иван Попов), performing a dramatic military narrative from the National Theatre in Sofia ("Войнишки разказъ" / Soldier's Story). Technical Details:

  • Label/Company: Gramophone Concert Record (Featuring the early "Recording Angel" logo on the back).
  • Matrix Numbers: 11598u (Recorded by pioneer engineer Franz Hampe).
