I listened and recorded it all. Stunning sound. I have included ALL TRACKS for you to hear. I have never put on a whole LP before, but given how great it sounds and that it only looks very good, I thought it was important for you to be able to hear every song and how quiet it is between tracks.

 I did NOT make any digital improvements and the bass sounded so full and incredible on my computer that I had to go back and check to make sure I did not have any sort of enhancements on. What an LP!

Visual Vinyl Condition:         Ex-

There are multiple scuffs, hairlines, light scratching and an overall lack of luster. I was very pleasantly surprised that it played almost perfectly. I listened the whole way through, because, to be honest, it sounded so great. The sound is AMAZING. It sounds way better than my Canadian second issue did back in the day it came out of the shrink wrap.

Nice overall; there are some signs of the record impression that are most noticeable on the back. The word Ramones has some discoloration at the very top and there’s some dirt on the letting. See the pictures…not too bad at all. The creasing that is common on this issue is here, but not too detracting (the first pressing sleeve was very thin, but, thankfully glossy!). About 2” in on the right hand side there is a long crease; it runs through Dee Dee’s leg, shoulder and the E in Ramones. Hardly visible at all from straight on; the creasing on the front is most visible when you tip the sleeve in the light; there’s more minor creasing here and there, especially on the back. The spine has lost almost all of “Ramones”  & you can only read part of the catalogue number. Seem splitting is starting. See photos.

Description:       As a Ramones fan I was pretty blown away to find

this LP. The ABC first pressing copies are

pretty tough to get, but this is, as confirmed by

Chris of ramonesonvinyl.blogspot.ca/ a“first of

the first”. Check Discogs out and you’ll see

that the matrix numbers listed all have a T1

and a RE-1-1, RE-1-2 with variations after this.

Chris says the very first pressings, including

promos came from the Pitman plan as shown by

the nearly invisible “P”. I needed a magnifying

glass to find the “P”, done with dots just to the left

of  the matrix number.

This matrix numbers on this pressing are almost

identical to the copy of an advance Promotional

Test Pressing that sold in October for $1326.01.
