Description

the bright light exaggerates the wear of the sleeve. that ring wear isn't really visible in normal lighting. I only put it in bright lighting to demonstrate the TRUE condition of the cover

I've personally vacuum cleaned this record 3 times and have played it various times with my AT-OC9XL stylus (connected to a schiit skoll) here's how every song plays track by track

SIDE 1
A1 - vg++ a little crackle but completely normal and expected for old vinyl especially the beginning of the side
A2- vg+ some soft ticks but plays perfect
A3- EX
A4- vg+ there are some ticks here and there for the first 4 minutes during the really delicate part. when at around 3:30 (when the song picks up tempo) there is a hairline that causes some very slight ticking for ~50 seconds. plays fine after that.
SIDE 2
B1 - vg++
B2-EX
B3-vg- there are 2 hairlines on the record that start from around ~50 seconds in all the way to the part where the flute starts. the pops are perfectly synchronized with the loud guitar strumming (thank goodness) so while it is a noticable defect it doesn't really RUIN anything (at least for me)
B4- EX
B5 - NM
B6 - NM

take it from me that my stylus is in fact very delicate. it picks up on A LOT of discrepancies and imperfections on the record. These original silence records pressings are very all over the place and are prone to defects. I'm sure on a less revealing setup the only noticeable defect you'll hear is with B3 and MAYBE A4. when played on a VM540 the record sounded EX and the only really audible defects was the little ticks on A4 If you listened very closely and the obvious popping on B3.
