Roy Orbison came back for a third MGM album in 1966 and delivered Classic Roy Orbison, which was probably the best album be ever did for the label. Every song was cast in a familiar, classic Orbison vein, without any of the country piano sounds that showed a digression on recent releases, and most of it -- especially "Just Another Name for Rock and Roll" -- had a beat that was still highly appealing in mid-'66. Working more thoroughly within a band setting here, this is stripped-down, back-to-basics Orbison, maybe only lacking a hit single of the same obvious proportions as those Monument albums.

(b)          The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)             The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-         Cover has a visible wrinkle (bubble in paper slick) in the front panel

-         Cover has a visible wrinkle (crease) in the cardboard base on the back panel

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing
