ROXY MUSIC Roxy Music (Island ILPS 9200) Ferry Eno RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original UK first pressing of Roxy Music`s eponymous debut album on Island Records (June 1972).
Surely one of the twenty finest albums released in the UK in the 70s, "Roxy Music" had it all: All-out blaring rock`n`roll, avantgarde art-rock pretense, futurist ambition - and campy stylishness to boot! 
GRADING:

MINT- COVER. Fully laminated sleeve, as found on UK first pressings only; except for a small crease (at bottom right), the cover is perfect. Small removable store sticker on rear (at top right). Please see photos for details.

EX+ RECORD. Visually, the lp looks to be in unplayed, mint condition. Even when viewed under bright light, there is no spindle wear, hairlining or other discernible wear whatsoever!
The record play-grades a somewhat lower EX+, with some background crackle in quiet passages, predominantly on side two.
The perfect first pressing Island "pink rim" labels have especially intense colours, with none of the fading found on later pressings. Also includes the original pale blue Island Records inner sleeve in absolutely MINT condition.
The matrix stamps in the dead wax read "A-2 U" and "B-2 U", indicating at the very least a very early, if not a first UK pressing.
Note: The asking price for this very fine original UK copy of "Roxy Music" is a reflection of the album`s condition: First pressings of this record in MINT condition sell for upwards of £75...
