California composer Ana Roxanne returns with a hushed, skeletal set that places her voice squarely in the open air. The arrangements feel slightly transparent - a few drifting drones and scattered piano tones occupy the space, leaving very little else. Everything circles the voice. 'The Age of Innocence' opens in suspended stillness, Roxanne's breath-soft vocal gliding over a low electronic hum. 'Berceuse in A-flat Minor, Op. 45' answers with pale piano notes that trail the melody like faint shadows. 'Keepsake' draws closer, the singing fragile and intimate, then 'Untitled II' tilts the mood darker with slow piano tolls and a ghostly gravity. Later pieces such as 'One Shall Sleep', 'Wishful (draft)' and 'Cover Me' reduce the music to breath and tone. 'Atonement' leaves everything hanging in a dim, glowing hush.
