Description
RORY GALLAGHER - souped up Rory LP, recorded live in LONDON on the 2nd March 1976 Shepard Bush Studios, London.
An Old Grey whistle test special.
Musicians are:
Rory Gallagher: Guitar & vocals.
Lou Martin: Keyboards.
Gerry McVoy: Bass.
Rod De’Ath. Drums.
Tracks include:
Introduction, I take what I want, Bought and sold, All round man, out on the western plain, souped-up Ford and Hands off (encore).
AUTOGRAPHED ON THE BACK SLEEVE BY:
Rory Gallagher & Rod De’Ath.
Original RARE LIVE UK album, released in 1976, on the ? records label, catalogue number MARC RG-76056 (on sleeve).
Matrix numbers read A-side: RG 76056-1 & B-side RG 76056-2.
The record sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition, clean solid and complete, with no rips, no major tears, no seem splits and no deep sleeve creases.
Sleeve displays some wear owing to age and handling, sleeve has some light surface creases, mainly around the outer sleeve’s edge, corners have wear, and the front top left hand side edge has three small surface tears.
The back sleeve has a light stain on the bottom left hand corner. The record sleeve is autographed “Rory Gallagher” and “Rod De’ath” in black biro on the Fender guitar (see scans and pictures) and near the sleeve’s printed facsimile Rory Gallagher autograph.
The record comes complete with the original record company inner paper sleeve, which has an original picture of Rory Gallagher stuck (cello-taped) on to one side, and typed details of the album title, gig venue and the musicians on the other.
Record labels are in excellent condition, but have the album title and the track listing written on them.
Record playing surfaces are VERY GOOD in appearance, there are some visible surface marks on both sides, record plays mostly EXCELLENT, but has faults on the 2nd track on the A-side, which has a jump that sticks about half way through, and a couple of click/jumps further on into the track.
Sound displays some background clicks in places, but overall an excellent clean live sound.
