I have owned this lp from new and initially only ever played this one time to record to tape and then it was stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover for protection! This is how I have always stored my records! Stunning earliest 1st issue featuring A-#1 B-#1 matrix endings the earliest for the best possible audio quality on vinyl! Very near mint audio quality and barely ever played vinyl!  A lovely and scarce to find in this condition! The original 1st issued unlaminated James Upton Press printed Textured cover is strong and straight with light storageware only. No splits or tears!

Blueprint is the third album by Irish guitarist Rory Gallagher, released as a vinyl record in 1973. With his first band Taste and with his solo band up to this point Gallagher was one of the first guitarists to lead a power trio lineup. With Blueprint Gallagher included a keyboardist for the first time.

For Blueprint Gallagher replaced drummer Wilgar Campbell with Rod de'Ath and decided to add Lou Martin, the keyboardist from de'Ath's previous band Killing Floor.

This four piece lineup was to be one of Gallagher's most successful resulting in many of his most popular songs and documented in live film and TV appearances on shows such as Rockpalast and the Old Grey Whistle Test.

The band would play together for five years. Blueprint, as with all the studio albums recorded by the Gallagher quartet illustrated Gallagher's eclectic musical influences.

The album title and artwork were taken from the blueprint of a Stramp "Power Baby" amplifier that had been custom designed for Gallagher in Hamburg. "It was compact enough to fit into the small luggage compartment of a Volkswagen Beetle" recalled Gallagher's brother and manager Donal.

William Rory Gallagher born 2 March 1948 – 14 June 1995) was an Irish blues-rock multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and bandleader.

Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, and raised in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s.

He was a talented guitarist known for his charismatic performances and dedication to his craft. Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide. Gallagher received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London, UK at the age of 47

All songs were composed by Rory Gallagher except where noted.

The Vinyl

This lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. (Note, I have double checked there is no warping) On visual inspection it is hard to even see if this has been played at all! Visually this looks barely ever played my opinion! Even on close scrutiny I find it hard to  see any scratches in fact I can't see any at all on the playing surface. No nasty feelable scratches or marks at all that I can see.  Any marks that could possibly be seen would be light sleeve removal type only, I struggle to see any at all, Importantly no marks that would cause any loud annoying constant clicks or pops.

The Labels
The original Polydor Labels (Only 1st UK issues) These are lovely and clean with no marks or tears. I find it hard to see any real wear around the spindle hole and any spider marks or spindle traces are very hard to see. This has barely ever been played at all in my opinion, in fact I only played this one time only to record to tape and that's all! Unbeleivably rare for a 43 yeay old record like this!

The Audio Quality
I have played the vinyl at very loud volume on a top system and fully recorded the record for you to hear for yourself in the player provided above! This audio is absolutely awesome throughout! Please note! One of the best sounding copies that I have heard of this album, super deep bassey feel and cristal clear and vibrant through out! No loud or constant audio sounding clicks or pops heard at all! Audio graded at least excellent plus Near Mint in my opinion! You will find it hard to find a better sounding copy! Note! Light isolated static heard in quiet places or in between tracks only,  Audio graded Near as Mint for the most part  and looks and sounds in barely ever played condition!
Hear the complete album in the player above! (actual recording from the vinyl)

Please Note, I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for isolated static /tick as previously mentioned above. This album is 43 years old and would have originally been played on a 43 years old system!
This album has been stored in a case, laying dormant, with the vinyl separated from the sleeve for protection for over 40 years! This is how I have always stored my records! A build up of dirt and dust in the groves from laying dormant causes static crackle/ticks. A constent cleaning before each play is highly recommended. This will enhance the audio quality and reduce any static interference!

The Record Sleeve
This is the original white poly lined  record sleeve! No splits or tears in lovely tip top condition. This is the original!

The Cover
This is the original 1st issue un-laminated Textured Jame Upton Press cover! No splits or tears no real nasty creases to talk of generally lovely and clean throughout Almost like a new cover unbeleivably rare like this! No ring wear/rubbing to mention that is so common on these original flimsy covers, all text can be read on the spine which is also like new in my opinion remmember that this is 43 years old! No Nasty creases to mention, any marks or indents you have to look hard to notice in my opinion. The spine is lovely No crushing all text clear and legible! Lovely cover clean and straight graded at better than excellent plus to Near Mint in my opinion!
