ROOM Pre-Flight 1970 1st UK Press THE RAREST DERAM LP
Label: - DERAM, Catalogue: - SML 1073, Matrix:- ZAL-10064P-1W, ZAL-10065P-1W with '1' stamper.
Here we have what must be the rarest LP's of the Deram label. This is Room's Pre-Filght and a very 1st UK pressing. It comes in the original non-laminated sleeve and has the original blue stereo inner sleeve. A musically stunning album recorded in one day by a band that vanished without a trace soon after. The album sold in tiny numbers.

Vinyl: - EX+ ( in stunning barely played condition. I would say one or two plays apart from my test play. Must mention the following:- a tiny mark about 1mm in the first track on side one. This causes a repeat click for 15 seconds. One side two in the second track there is tiny raised spot smaller than a pin head which causes three repeat clicks. There is some faint marbling residue pattern left by the poly-lined inner but I must stress that it is very light and has no effect on the sound. The overall sound quality is superb. The record retains it's original deep shine. I have cleaned the vinyl before this auction on an Okki Nokki cleaning machine using L'Art Du Son cleaning fluid which greatly enhances the sound quality.)
Sleeve: - VG (the sleeve is fairly average for a 1970 white non-laminated. The spine is worn so you can only just make out the band name but that's about all. The other edges are also worn. There is ringwear on the front and back but this is fairly light. On the back at the top left hand corner there is a small hand written number and price. On the upper front two stickers have left a little marking and one has caused a very small peeling off of the top surface)

GRADING ABBREV DESCRIPTION MINT M The record is as new. The cover and any inserts should be in perfect condition.Many Dealers do not use this classification as A record is unlikely to arrive through the post in truly mint condition. EXCELLENT
PLUS EX+ The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under Bright Light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. Reserve this grade for records where you have difficulty spotting anything wrong.
The Cover and inserts are undamaged. EXCELLENT EX The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. EXCELLENT
MINUS EX- There may be fairly visible surface markings under bright light but the sound quality of the record is not adversely affected.
The Cover and inserts may have noticeable light creasing or "foxing" due to dampness but they are all present and intact. VERY GOOD VG The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite surface marks and some light scratches. Also Use this grading where the record has suffered perhaps one more visible scratch, but is otherwise in EX or better condition.
The cover may be creased a little and/or frayed at the opening. You should itemize any more serious damage such as tears.
