ROLLING STONES- We love you NORWAY press ULTRA RARE

 

Why are norwegian Stones singles so RARE ? Well, first of all – they were pressed in very small quantities. Some down to only 3000 – and most of them were played to smithereens. Very few survived the mindless teeanage treatment they got – so items in nice condition are very hard to come by. Second, the norwegian Stones singles had beautiful picture sleeves instead of the more ususal export british orange Decca company sleeves.

 

Only six titles were issued with unique to Norway picture sleeves between 1964 and 1967:

Time is on my side/Congratulations

Tell me/Honest I do

Have you seen your mother baby/Who’s driving your plane

Let’s spend the night/Ruby Tuesday

We love you/Dandelion

She’s a rainbow/2000 light years from home

So the fun starts...on this issue clean German picture covers were imported without any text – just as the covers used for the Have you seen your mother baby/Who’s driving your plane 1966 Decca F12497 issue. In Norway text and numbers were then pressed uniquely for the Norwegian market. This coverdesign were used only in Norway for We love you/Dandelion.  A british Export record was put in these sleeves with matching matrix numbers on the cover. Record and sleeve are in nice condition with some creases on the very fragile cover. noc Vg / Vg
