Auction is for an ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL U.K. MONO PRESSING of THE ROLLING STONES' "THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY (BIG HITS VOL.2)" LP from 1969 on Decca Records. This is the DEFINITE ORIGINAL FIRST UK MONO PRESS of this GEM... w/ original inner sleeve (one side has name of LP written on it) in octogon shape and mono printed along edges. Matrix numbers are as follows: SIDE 1 - XARL-9067-P-IA and SIDE 2 - XARL-9068.P-3A. The labels are red unboxed Decca's, only found on the original press. There are some very light spindle marks on the labels but labels are still EXCELLENT(VG++)! The Garrod & Lofthouse cover is in BEAUTIFUL condition, with the very slightest shelf wear on the corners and spine. The laminate is tight and has retained its sheen. The cover is truly beautiful considering how many of these turn up with trashed covers which is inevitable, due in part to its unique shape, if not properly stored. As for the LP, there are some light superficial paper sleeve scuffs and a couple very light surface marks on both sides of the vinyl that are only noticeable under very bright light and don't affect play. Even though this was played, it wasn't played much and it was well cared for... not perfect, but pretty darn close... graded a conservative VG+... BEAUTIFUL COPY of an ULTRA RARE ROLLING STONES TREASURE! If you require any additional photos or info please feel free to contact me....
