"STICKY FINGERS" Rare 1971 US White Label Promo stereo Rolling Stones Records COC 59100 !
The labels are bright and clean, no writing, no stickers, the playing surfaces are generally glossy and nice with superficial wear or marks, with the following exception:
I have played this in the shop and it plays and sounds great EXCEPT for one mysterious bad spot:
* Side 1 has minor superficial marks and fine superficial hairlines, plays and sounds great until half-way through "Can't You Hear Me Knocking". At that spot there are 4 tiny little marks (pictured) that you can feel and cause pops, and the bigger one in the middle is a real problem - this causes the tonearm to stick in place, I can't get it to play through it. Perhaps with a magnifying glass and an artist exacto knife you could correct this, I don't know. It looks like something pointed may have been dropped on it at this point. Beyond this spot to the end of the side it again plays and sounds great.* Side 2 has only light play wear and minor superficial marks or hairlines. No playability issues.
The cover has the promo sticker intact on the front with light wear. Cover has light shelf wear, a small 'notch' tear at the lower right, and a 2" seam split in the center of the spine from the LP sliding around and splitting the spine at the title print.
The original custom inner sleeve is included. It has a small tear at the top and seam splits, 3" at the bottom center and 2" at one side center.
If it wasn't for that spot on side 1 this would grade visually an easy glossy VG+ and audibly easily VG++ to M- .... but it does have that defect, so you can judge for yourself how to grade it.
