The Rolling Stones "THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST"
This is an extremely rare LP - a late 70s US repressing that was intended to be Stereo but which used the old mono lacquers from 1967. The sound quality is superb and the mono mix of this album is highly prized by collectors.
The flat, non-lenticular gatefold cover is in EX condition with no visible ringwear, no writing, no tears. The cover states that this is a Stereo LP - NPS-2.
Comes with the original red "smoke" inner sleeve in EX condition.
Vinyl is on the blue London label and it, too, states this is NPS-2 and "STEREOPHONIC." The vinyl is in EX condition, with no splindle wear. Looks virtually unplayed.
No other writing or markings anywhere in this set.
The matrix numbers are the thing that reveal the mispress. BOTH sides have TWO SETS OF MATRIX NUMBERS in the dead wax. One for Stereo. One for Mono. Both sides play in Mono and it is the original (ARL - 8126 - 1C) 1967 mono mix that Jagger and Richards did in NYC in 1967 specifically for the American market.
