ORIGINAL U.K. ISSUE RELEASED ON THE RED ‘DECCA’ LABEL, CAT No LK 4661, MONO, 1964. MATRIX NUMBERS ARE SIDE 1 – XARL – 6619-2A. SIDE 2 – XARL-6620-1A. THIS IS MY TOP COPY FROM MY OWN COLLECTION, AND CONSIDERING IT’S NOW 44 YEARS OLD IT’S IN REAL GREAT SHAPE, THIS HAS BEEN WITH ME SINCE IT’S RELEASE DATE SO A ONE OWNER ISSUE, THIS SOUNDS SO GOOD NEVER FELT THE NEED TO UPGRADE. LAMINATED FRONT ‘FLIPBACK’ SLEEVE – HAS SOME LIGHT CREASES AT THE OPENING AND AT ONE CORNER BUT STILL IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.
REAR ‘MATT’ SLEEVE – HAS SOME OF MY HANDLING MARKS FROM OVER THE YEARS AND THE ORIGINAL PRICE IN THE CORNER. [ SEE PHOTO 2 ]
LP – LABELS – BOTH EXCELLENT PLUS.
LP – VISUALLY –THE LP HAS A COUPLE OF LIGHT SURFACE MARKS EITHER SIDE, HAVE PLAYED THIS OVER THE YEARS. THESE DO NOT AFFECT THE PLAY OR SOUND OF THIS GREAT ALBUM. STILL HAS IT’S ORIGINAL SHINE BOTH SIDES.
LP – PLAY – ALL THROUGH BOTH SIDES, NO STICKING OR JUMPS.
LP – SOUND – PLAYED THIS ON BOTH MY SYSTEMS THIS MORNING EXCELLENT BOTH SIDES, COULD NOT REALLY FAULT IT, NOT PERFECT,AFTER 44 YEARS BUT STILL A GREAT SOUNDING LP.
ORIGINAL MONO 1st ISSUES ARE NOW REAL HARD TO FIND WITH A ‘MINT’ VALUE OF WELL INTO THREE FIGURES, IF YOU CAN FIND ONE. REAL GREAT START PRICE FOR THIS REAL NICE ISSUE.
