THE LIMITED EDITION By MICHAEL PUTLAND
Genesis Publications "Pleased To Meet You: The Limited Edition" was published in 1999 and the De-Luxe Edition was limited to 100 copies of which this is copy number 10. This De-Luxe edition has been SIGNED by Michael Putland and also includes an EXCLUSIVE PRINT.
"Pleased To Meet You" is a photographic record taken by Michael Putland of the Rolling Stones throught the 70s and early 80s and give an intimate and unforgettable insight into those exciting times. This 280 page volume of over 400 images is produced to the highest standards of printing and binding and features the innovative design concepts and materials for which Genesis has become famous.
The book is housed in a silk-screened solander box covered in orange buckram with a Stones image of choice mounted on the front board. The image that I chose was the one of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards that is displayed in one of the accompanying photos (please check my photo gallery).
The book is master-printed onto acid free 200gsm matt art paper in fine-screen black and white reproduction, with 32 pages of full colour and image-varnishing throughout.
As previously stated this is the SIGNED, DE-LUXE version bound in FULL LEATHER and supplied with an EXCLUSIVE PRINT, produced using the traditional gravure process.
This is my own copy bought BRAND NEW and has remained so. You will be buying it as I received it from Genesis, the only difference being that I opened the cardboard mailer to ensure that the book was inside. The book is still sealed in the brown paper that it arrived in (see photo) and is therefore BRAND NEW and has not had a finger laid on it.
Thr print arrived seperately from the book in its own mailer as is a considerably larger package that the book. The winning buyer will therefore be receiving the print and book in seperate packages. I will monitor their progress and keep you informed once they have been posted.
I have now sold a couple of rare limited edition books on E-Bay and on both occasions the customer has been very satisfied so please bid with confidence on this RARE and BRAND NEW item.
