You are bidding on the first US issue "Englands Newest Hitmakers". The LP was made for both promotional use and as a normal stock copy in England. The promo copy was made with a white label and the stock copy with red label. The promo copy also had a sticker on the front cover "Promotion Copy Not For Sale". The Promo Radio station copy,white label promo is in Goldmine's guide in 1994 listed this piece at $1,000-2,000; (if you can find one!!). COVER CONDITION: is fair with partial seam splits (the inside corner also has a large split. There is a lot of fraying on the edges. There is a little pen mark on the "THE" and the O's in "NOT FOR". The cover has definitely seen better days. However, for the GOOD NEWS; the PHOTO is a true first photo with the grainy surface texture and not smooth like later pressings. The photo is great with only a light circular indent from the record (not bent - more like a ripple). There is also a bent in the bottom left corner. The pricture is a solid VG+. The RECORD CONDITION is VG with clean labels; lots of luster with surface scuffs and scratches (hairlines), nothing you can feel. It is extremely rare to find the LP in any condition; and although this is not of superior quality, it still has a lot going for it!!!! Great Poster, OK Record!!! LOW STARTING BID WITH NO RESERVE!!!!!
