Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition) by The Rolling Stones called "Rolling Stones" and is a 1964 MONO UK Pressing on the UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca label.

THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!  THIS WAS THE ROLLING STONES FIRST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs ON THE DECCA LABEL - AND IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO LOCATE TODAY!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP EVER MADE - AND IS MADE VERY VERY SPECIAL INDEED FOR 2 INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT REASONS: FIRSTLY THIS LP HAS THE ULTRA RARE MIS-CREDITED 'MONA' COVER (SEE PICTURE) - WHERE 'MONA' IS INCORRECTLY CREDITED ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER (INSTEAD OF 'I NEED YOU BABY'). THE LABELS REFLECT THIS MISTAKE TOO (MOST DON'T!)  ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY FRACTION OF THE 'EARLIEST' COVERS EVER MADE WERE PRESSED WITH THE WRONG TITLE IN THE TRACK LISTING ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER - AND AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY CLOSE UP PICTURE - THE COVER CLEARLY LISTS TRACK 4, SIDE 1 AS 'MONA' INSTEAD OF THE USUAL CREDIT 'I NEED YOU BABY',  AS WELL AS THIS - THE CREDIT FOR 'CAN I GET A WITNESS' IS ALSO COMPLETELY WRONG, CREDITING 'BOZIER' INSTEAD OF THE CORRECT 'DOZIER' (SEE PICTURE) AND THIS IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND ALMOST NEVER SEEN ON THIS LP!

AND SHOWING THE DISC IS CLEARLY ORIGINAL TO THE COVER - THE SIDE 1 LABEL ALSO INCORRECTLY LISTS THE SAME TRACK AGAIN AS 'MONA' (MOST DONT!), HAS THE INCORRECT 'BOZIER' CREDIT FOR 'CAN I GET A WITNESS', AND BOTH LABELS CARRY THE 'FIRST PUBLISHED' TEXT (REMOVED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!)  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL IS THAT THE COVER HAS AN INCREDIBLE DOUBLE MISPRINT!  IF YOU LOOK AT THE SECOND FROM BOTTOM TRACK ON MY CLOSE UP COVER PICTURE - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THIS COVER INCORRECTLY LISTS THIS TRACK AS "YOU CAN MAKE IT YOU TRY" - INSTEAD OF THE CORRECT "YOU CAN MAKE IT IF YOU TRY"  AND THIS IS SERIOUSLY RARE INDEED - AND ALMOST NEVER SEEN ON THIS COVER  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS AMAZING DOUBLE COVER MISPRINT & 'MONA' LABEL & COVER ERRORS - MAKES THIS LP ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP EVER MADE

MATRIX NUMBERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Side 1: XARL-6271-2A  Side 2: XARL-6272-4A

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION - AND IS A VERY VERY DECENT EXAMPLE INDEED.  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!  This is the ORIGINAL Decca UK MONO Pressing and is in GREAT condition!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LK 4605 on the UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO Pressing

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO stickers, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is GREAT condition! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This one is NOT and has only 2 or 3 VERY light scuff lines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual.  It plays with NO skips, few VERY light clicks (though mostly NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either.  The record must grade Very Good+ if not better.

The ULTRA RARE 'MacNeill' Flipback Laminated DOUBLE MISPRINTED 'Mona' Cover is in GREAT condition!  It has VERY LITTLE edge wear, VERY LITTLE spinal wear (apart from a few TINY creases!), only slight corner wear, NO splits, a few light creases and cover has SOME LAMINATE WRINKLES S shown in the photos, but completely normal given its age, NO rips, NO tears,  shiny laminate, NO annotations, and NO writing!  The un-laminated back of the cover is clean and white, NO yellowing, only a few TINY spots, NO rubbing, a few creases to the flipbacks, NO annotations, and NO writing!  This cover must grade VG- if not better and is still a VERY presentable cover THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY WITH THE ULTRA RARE 'MONA' CREDIT ON THE COVER & LABEL!) - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE. It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP! THIS MAY BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL UK 1964 MONO PRESSING (WITH ULTRA RARE 'MONA' COVER & LABELS!) OF "THE ROLLING STONES" BY THE ROLLING STONES, IN GREAT CONDITION!
