Rare German Aktuelle Express-Ausgabe pressing of the Rolling Stones’ “Let It Bleed.” It is my understanding that this cover was only available for a short time until the actual cover art was available for the German market.

It is a Decca Release, Cat # SLK 16 640-P. Labels are Red “Royal Sound” Stereo with Decca in a black box. Matrix #s: XZAL9363 & 9364, machine stamped.

The front cover is an interesting bright orange color; the back cover is plain white.

Visually, the record is a Strong VG+, but the slight thuds at the beginning of each side forces me to grade this one at strong VG (Listen to the samples to judge for yourself, they are almost inaudible at my computer's highest volume, but are more audible off of my home stereo). Much of the minor crackle may be eliminated with further deep cleaning; the vinyl looks so nice that I can’t believe the crackle is a permanent part of the sound, unless it is part of the pressing. A bit of a light thud is audible during the first few rotations on each side, but which either quickly end or are eclipsed by the album's dynamics (Listen to samples below), some light crackle with occasional tics is heard on the rest of the LP, most of this is on side 1. Labels have a couple of spindle marks.

Cover is Strong VG, The top edge is a bit faded; there are some dings along the opening edge, the worst of which is near the bottom where there is a couple of slight tears and some cover peeling; the back opening edge also has a crinkly ding with an associated tear (about 1/2") which I can't really capture with my camera or scanner. There is some crinkling to the clear coat and it is starting to peel off a bit at the upper front cover. Edge and ring wear are minor, there is some light corner wear including a slight dog ear that corresponds with the upper corner peeling. The back cover is slightly discolored, especially around the edges. Additionally, the top and bottom opening edge corners of the cover are separated a bit (top about 2”, bottom about ½”). The clear outer layer of the cover is peeling a bit along the opening and top edges.
