Description
For sale is my very early pressing of the Stone's first 1964 album. It seems to have the criteria of an early pressing.
Visually the vinyl looks great with some light marks which don't appear to affect the sound quality. I have played it on my Stereo system (Lenco L75 with a Stanton cartridge) and also one of my 1960s mono record players and the sound is great. I can not hear any pops, clicks, jumps etc. There is only the faintest sound between tracks. Of course this record was not intended to be played on high end audio equipment!!
It has the short version of Tell Me, a sure indication of any early pressing as the mistake was soon rectified and later pressings had the much longer version. It also has the credit to Cromwell Music which again was quickly changed to Burlington music. The stamped matrix are;

There are very faint spindle marks on the label but other wise the labels are clean and clear with no writing. Overall I would rate the vinyl as VG+
The sleeve is flip back top and bottom and was printed by MacNeill Press. It has the usual creases on the laminated front. On the rear there is a small amount of damage to the flip back corners. There is some feathering and wear to opening edge. I have tried to photograph all these aspects so please look carefully. I would rate the sleeve as VG.
