PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE ORIGINAL ATLANTIC ONE-SIDED METAL ACETATE IN GLORIOUS MONO(!) WITH THE ADJACENT STUDIO'S 11 WEST 60TH STREET ADDRESS IN THE LOWER LABEL RIM TEXT IN THE ORIGINAL PERIOD SLEEVE!!! There is a small thin flake spot on the rear near the center hole but it's completely blank and smooth with zero grooves. The Happy side is VG++ and spectacular. Label has NO writing and is hand-typed. I have been collecting The Stones for 40+ years and I have never seen a US mono pressing on a promo or otherwise so it's possible this pressing was abandoned. I even checked the all-knowing Discogs database and there's no sign of one there either. I can find no evidence or record of a mono acetate ever surfacing for auction or sale on the internet. An incredible piece of Stones history. This takes you right inside the studio, not a pressing plant. I own some Stones discs to die for but this acetate is unquestioningly the crown jewel in my collection. Beatles and Stones acetates are arguably the most collectable in the music world and are exceedingly scarce and this mono example is rare beyond rare, particularly in this condition. This is what separates elite collectors from the novices. You will not be disappointed. This will be sent with additional insurance so please wait for an invoice.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
