EXTREMELY RARE.
The Rolling Stones Box Set Original Master Recordings by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.
THIS BOX SET IS NUMBERED 2824.
This was purchased by myself 25 years ago at Tower Records and it has stayed in my possession ever since. This box set featured 11 Rolling Stones albums pressed by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.
Each album was pressed on the finest vinyl available printed in Japan. Each record is encased in fine rice paper. These records have been stored here in San Diego where the temperature is very mild fluctuating between 65-80 degrees indoors. They have never been played. For these reasons each album is in mint / like new condition.
The door on this set opens and closes with great precision. The hinges and latch are as securely affixed to the box as when this set was purchased. The brass latch has normal aging making it feel slightly rough to the touch. I tried to show the box set so you can see just how excellent the condition is after 25 years. The camera's flash is present on some of the pictures. This is evident such as when reflecting off of the box's surface. I believe this gives you the buyer an excellent look at the fine surface texture.

I am also including The Rolling Stones "Some Girls" Half-Speed Mastered recording. I purchased Some Girls years ago and it fit perfectly in one of the boxes empty slots. It has sat there with the other albums ever since.
That's a total of 12 Rolling Stones Half Speed Mastered Orignal Masters Recordings published by MFSL included in this sale.
The box set also included the following items which are also included in this auction:
GEO DISC (used to precisely align record needles.) Please note: The Geo disc's cardboard covering is loose as it was never properly glued at the factory. I left it as I found it when the box set was purchased. I consider this to be a very minor issue.)
As pictured there is a booklet which contains the front and back covers of each Rolling Stones album in the box set. The white dust jacket protecting the booklet's cover has slight markings on it but the booklet itself is in excellent condition.
The set also included an envelope which contains various items. These include an offer for a free poster. It was never redeemed from MFSL, a certificate of Limited Warranty card, an original masters recordings catalog (note the catalog has 2 coffee rings on it and is in a used condition but I am including it for completeness). These items were stored on a book shelf not in the box set. Years later I noticed the envelope and cards had acquired some yellowing on one edge due to exposure from the air.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. I hate to part with this but have no choice as I am moving around the world. I have seen each album parted and sold for 100 dollars apiece.
