Description

This album was originally released with inaccurate information given on the LP (PS 539 London Records) label and the Album jacket for the song Prodigal Son where by credit was given to Jagger/Richards. They did not write the song, it was written by Rev. Robert Wilkens. ****************** The LP label and Album cover were then corrected and released to accurately reflect Rev. Robert Wilkens as the writer of that song. Robert Wilkens' original version was titled "That's No Way To Get Along" the Stones named their version "Prodigal Son".  ************ This is a copy of that 1st release where the credit is incorrectly given to Jagger/Richards for the song. ********** Very rare to see a sealed copy containing the mistake. ***********Compare the back of this LP to other white plain album covers and you can see the mistake on the original 1st release. ***************** Interestingly this album later changed to the infamous toilet and graffiti cover with later releases of this LP. ***************** Originally the Stones wanted the Toilet and Graffiti design but it was shot down just before the release date because it was considered too risque at the time and the plain album was conceived and hurried into production and that is where the credit mistake issue came into existence. ************ This is a must have for Stones LP collectors. *********** There is small tear in the shrink seal of the LP in one bottom corner, as well a much smaller tear in the other top corner, and the usual breather holes on each side see photo, other than that it is in excellent condition for a 44 + year old record. This record will be carefully packed.. Immediate payment is required for best offer accepted as well as buy it now. Item will be re-listed if payment is not received as indicated. Shipping to lower 48 states only.
