Description

This is the much sought after 'Shadow Sleeve' pressing of this Rolling Stones LP.
Un-boxed Decca release from 1966, catalogue no. LK.4786.
Matrix to run off on side 1 is XARL-7209-1B. Mother stamper to the left of the label is an I.  Stamper to the right is C and what looks like an O Matrix to run off on side 2 is XARL-7210-1A. Mother stamper to the left of the label is an I.  Stamper to the right is C and what looks like an O.
Sleeve is NOT torn or written on but does have the wear which will be obvious in my photos, grade VG minus.
Grooved labels have several very light spindle marks to both sides, grade EX.
Record to side 1 has a tiny pressing fault on track 3 which causes a few 'bumps'.  There are about half a dozen very light needle marks.  Grade, a bit better than VG. Record to side 2 has a visible mark to the last track and only a couple of other light marks. Grade VG.  Overall the record plays very well with just a few light clicks on three tracks.  It has been played several times but NOT overplayed.

GRADING:  I grade all my records in line with the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide's 'Grading Ready Reckoner', a universally accepted grading system.  I am very strict, my VG will be many peoples' EX.  I very rarely use MINT and anything listed as NEAR MINT will not have any needle marks.
PACKAGING:  All records are posted in purpose made card envelopes with a stiffner.  The record is removed from the outer sleeve and put in another sleeve for extra protection and to avoid splitting the original sleeve in transport. More valuable record will be boxed for even greater protection.
