Although The Rolling Stones had already released half a dozen albums by the time Aftermath arrived in 1966, the album is a significant one for the band in that it was their first to be comprised entirely of their own, original compositions, with all 14 of its songs penned by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Aftermath is also notable for being the first of their albums recorded entirely in the US, and their first in true stereo. HMV exclusive edition of the album is pressed onto violet-coloured vinyl and limited to 1000 copies- currently sold out .
