Issued in Germany in the mid-'60s, this 12-song LP has a lackluster front cover (but the back shows the band on-stage circa 1965 with a police officer trying to pull a girl off of Mick Jagger, so you know it's cool). There are better compilations covering this period in their music, but the song lineup is pretty much excellent; all hard, early rock & roll and blues, mostly drawn from their early singles and EPs

Note about track listing: the track listing on this German LP is rather similar to that found on American ’12 X 5’ LP (released in 1965, roughly the same time as the German album), but with some significant differences. The German album plays  Bye, Bye Johnny, I want to be your man, Not Fade Away, Poison Ivy and You Better Move On INSTEAD OF  Congratulations, Grown up wrong, Under the Boardwalk, Suzie-Q and Time is on my side, which are found on American album. The remaining tracks (2120 South Michigan, Around and Around, Confessing the Blues, Empty Heart, Good Times Bad Times, If you need me and It’s all over now are shared and can be found on BOTH albums)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.

(d)          True stereo pressings of this album are not known to exist

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the opening side (nothing significant)

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine
