On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Rolling Stones called 'Rolling Stones No 2' and is a MONO UK pressing!!!! THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP WITH A MEGA RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' COVER AND MISPRINTED LABELS!!!!  'TRANSITIONAL' COVERS ARE INCREDIBLY RARE (AS IS THE MISPRINTED LABELS) - SO FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW - I WILL EXPLAIN.  THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP PRESSED IN 1965 AND MOST OF 1966 HAD A 1ST PRESS COVER WITH A 'BLIND MAN' CREDIT IN THE TEXT ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER.  HOWEVER AT SOME POINT THE REFERENCE 'KNOCK A BLIND MAN ON HIS HEAD AND STEAL HIS LOOT' WAS OBVIOUSLY NOTICED AND DEEMED OFFENSIVE.  SO THE COVERS WERE CHANGED TO OMITT THIS OFFENSIVE REMARK.  HOWEVER THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY CHANGED QUITE LATE ON IN THE PRESSING RUN AS ALL 1965/66 ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSINGS DO HAVE THIS CREDIT.  AND CERTAINLY IT IS MUCH MUCH HARDER TO FIND A 1960s ORIGINAL PRESSING OF THIS LP WITHOUT THIS CREDIT - THAN WITH IT!!!!  HOWEVER BETWEEN THE 1ST PRESS 'BLIND MAN' CREDIT COVERS AND THE LATER 'NO CREDIT' COVERS - COMES THIS EXTREMELY RARE 'TRANSITIONAL'  COVER!!!!  THIS COVER IS THE VERY RARE TRANSITIONAL COVER FROM APPROXIMATELY LATE 1966/EARLY 1967 WITH THE 'COVERED' TRANSITIONAL COVER WITH AN EXTRA BACK 'SLICK'!!!!  OBVIOUSLY WHEN THE ORDER HAD BEEN GIVEN TO 'CHANGE' THE COVER - THERE WERE STILL SOME FIRST PRESS COVERS WITH THE CREDIT LEFT ON THEM - SO RATHER THAN WASTFULLY DESTROYING THEM - A 'SLICK' OF PAPER WITH THE NEW COVER BACK (OMITTING THE CREDIT) WAS STUCK OVER THE BACK OF THE 1ST PRESS COVERS!!!!  CLEARLY THOUGH THERE WASNT MANY OF THESE AS TODAY FINDING A MEGA RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' COVER IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!  IF YOU LOOK AT MY PICTURES YOU CAN SEE A CLOSE UP PICTURE OF THE EDGE OF THE COVER SHOWING THE EDGE OF THE 'EXTRA PIECE' OF PAPER (OR BACK SLICK) STUCK OVER THE REVERSE OF THE 1ST PRESS BACK COVER, AND THERE IS ALSO A CLOSE UP OF THE AMENDED (AND REMOVAL OF) 'BLIND MAN TEXT'.  IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT THE BACK OF THIS COVER WHEN IT IS IN YOUR HAND - YOU CAN ALSO SEE THE TEXT ON THE ORIGINAL COVER SHOWING FAINTLY THROUGH THE OVER STICKED BACK SLICK OF THE BACK COVER!!!!  THIS COVER ONLY LASTED A VERY VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND TODAY IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  BUT NOT ONLY THAT - BUT THIS COPY HAS A MEGA RARE LABEL MISPRINT/MISMATCH!!!!  IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE LABELS YOU WILL SEE THAT ON ONE SIDE IT SAYS 'MADE IN ENGLAND' AT THE TOP OF THE LABEL - YET ON THE OTHER SIDE IT SAYS 'MADE IN ENGLAND THE DECCA RECORD CO. LTD'!!!!  CLEARLY A RARE SET OF MISMATCHED/MISPRINTED LABELS!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1966/67 MEGA RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' PRESSING WITH A MEGA RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' SLEEVE, AMENDED 'BLIND MAN' CREDIT, AND A 'RIDGED' UNBOXED DECCA LABEL!!!!  THIS IS A VERY RARE LP WITH THIS MEGA RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' COVER - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Decca UK UNBOXED 1966/67 MONO pressing and is in GREAT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LK 4661 on the ORIGINAL UNBOXED 'ridged' Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Rolling Stones at their best!!!! Any fan of The Rolling Stones, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in brilliant condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only a couple of MEGA LIGHT and NON SOUNDING hairlines only visible under light, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps and NO nasty constant crackle!!!! In fact on playing this LP I was amazed at how quietly this record played -though there is some VERY slight crackle (barely ANY) on 2 tracks and slightly more on 'Down Home Girl' (always a REALLY tough one to find 100% silent) - but even then it was NOT obtrusive in ANY respect!!!!  The record must grade visually Very Good++++ if not better with the playing grade VERY slightly less than this. Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also has its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The MEGA RARE 'Transitional' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few light creases (some creasing near the opening edge, and a few slight edge creases), NO rips, NO tears, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! The MEGA RARE 'Transitional' unlaminated back is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, only a MEGA faint tiny sticker mark (NO rips, just residue and MEGA tiny), only a some slight yellowing in places, NO writing, NO wear, and only a MEGA faint stain in the bottom right hand corner.  The cover must grade strictly Very Good if not better (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) - though of course it is EXTREMELY rare to find this MEGA RARE 'Transitional' cover AT ALL!!!!  THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP WITH THIS RARE 'TRANSITIONAL' COVER AND MISPRINTED LABELS!!!!  DONT MISS OUT!!!!
