Description
This is an auction for the debut LP by the Rolling Stones released in the UK in Mono in 1964 on Decca records , catalogue number LK4605.
What makes this record so special is that it is a rare early pressing with the " Mona " credit which is missing of most copies of this Lp as it was later changed . It also has the "it you try " mispress on the rear sleeve which makes this a double rarity.
What makes it even better is that the record is in great condition.
The vinyl is visually Excellent with a lovely sheen with only a few very very light superficial wispy marks. Considering it is 53 years old it looks great.
The Vinyl has the matrix numbers XARL-6271-2A on Side 1 with 1 stampers. On side 2 the matrix numbers are XARL- 6272 -3A with 1 stampers.
I have listened to the entire album at high volume and it plays through superbly. It sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. I did not even notice any ticks during playback. There is some very very light background noise but it is a superb listen and I would grade the audio as a strong excellent.
The record will be professionally cleaned prior to posting.
The labels , with the Mona listing, are superb as well. They are free from writing and I cannot see any spindle marks. I would grade them as a strong excellent.
The McNeill press flipback sleeve is also very nice . The spine is strong and clearly readable and the picture on the front is nice and clear. There is very light signs of wear where the record goes in the sleeve and some light ring wear but overall it is a strong VG +. Don't forget it has the Mona listing and the " make it you try" mispress on track 5 side 2.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
