Description

On offer here is one of the RAREST LPs you will EVER see (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Rolling Stones called 'The Rolling Stones' and is an ORIGINAL 1964 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca label!!!!  Please also take the time to read through ALL of this description properly - for I will NOT under any circumstances take a return of this LP because the winning bidder failed to read the description in detail (which has happened in recent weeks).  This is undoubtedly one of the ALL TIME rarest & most SOUGHT AFTER Rolling Stones LP ever made - so please take a few minutes to read everything carefully!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS THE ROLLING STONES FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  IN FACT, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs OF ALL TIME - AND IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO LOCATE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL, IS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP EVER MADE - WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MIX!!!!  AND THIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  THIS IS THE IMPOSSIBLY RARE '2.52' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP AND PLAYS THE ULTRA RARE '2.52' VERSION OF 'TELL ME'!!!!  THIS '2.52' MIX SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ON THIS LP AT ALL, AND WAS IMMEDIATELY CHANGED TO THE STANDARD '4.06' PRESSING OF 'TELL ME' WHICH APPEARS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  ONLY A TINY HANDFUL OF THESE LPS LEAKED OUT WITH THE '2.52' VERSION - AND MAKE THIS, THE RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER ROLLING STONES LP OF ALL TIME!!!!  IT IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT ON THIS 1ST PRESSING - THE '2.52' VERSION OF 'TELL ME' IS NOT ONLY SHORTER THAN THE STANDARD LATER '4.06' VERSION - BUT ALSO A TOTALLY DIFFERENT RECORDING!!!!  IT SOUNDS TOTALLY DIFFERENT (AND IN MY OPINION FAR BETTER!) AND IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THE ROLLING STONES AT THEIR VERY BEST!!!!  AND OF COURSE, YOU DONT NEED TO TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THAT THIS LP DOES INDEED HAVE THE ULTRA RARE '2.52' OF 'TELL ME', BECAUSE IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT MY VERY CLEAR PICTURES BELOW - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE A PICTURE OF THE 'XARL 6272-1A' MONO MATRIX NUMBER INDICATING THE WITHDRAWN '2.52' RECORDING OF 'TELL ME'!!!!  THIS LP ALSO HAS THE EXTREMELY RARE 'MONA' CREDIT ON THE SIDE 1 LABEL (MOST HAVE 'I NEED YOU BABY' INSTEAD!)!!!!  THIS LP IS OF THE UTMOST RARITY - AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS, AND I AM VERY CERTAIN THAT IT WILL BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME (IF EVER!) BEFORE YOU GET THE CHANCE TO OWN AN ULTRA RARE '2.52' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP AGAIN!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS STILL A PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE, AND ALTHOUGH THE VINYL ISNT VISUALLY PERFECT, MOST IMPORTANTLY THE WHOLE LP STILL PLAYS VERY WELL INDEED!!!!  AND CLEARLY THE WITHDRAWN '2.52' VERSION OF 'TELL ME' WASNT ONE OF THE PREVIOUS OWNERS FAVOURITE TRACKS - AS IT PLAYS BRILLIANTLY, WITH NO NASTY LOUD POPS AND BRILLIANT SOUND QUALITY!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!   THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1964 UK MONO '2.52' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS UNBOXED 'GROOVED' DECCA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'XARL 6272-1A' SIDE 2 MATRIX ENDING (INDICATING THE WRONG '2.52' VERSION OF 'TELL ME'!), 1ST PRESS 'HANDLING/PLAYING' INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'MacNEILL' FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Decca UK '2.52' 1st Pressing from 1964 and is SERIOUSLY RARE in every respect!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is LK 4605 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO wear (apart from a TINY touch around the centre holes!), NO writing, and some spindle markings around the centre!!!!  The vinyl isnt in PERFECT condition - though it does still play VERY well indeed (I have just played it end to end!)!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT unplayable AT ALL (and in fact plays EXTREMELY well!) - but it does have 2 or 3 visual (but TINY!) surface marks (NON sounding!), 3 or 4 hairline type marks (virtually ALL are NON sounding!), 2 or 3 visible (but NON sounding!) scufflines, and quite a few light hairlines (though these are mainly ONLY visible under light!)!!!!  THE RECORD IS STILL VERY SHINY LOOKING INDEED!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays EVEN BETTER than the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO nasty loud pops, only a few VERY clicks (these are always VERY low level indeed - and there is mostly NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  There is also barely ANY distortion (NONE on 'Tell Me'!) and NO groovewear either!!!!  In short - this record plays through VERY well indeed, with NO regular loud pops, NO sticks, NO jumps, only the odd isolated click or two (always VERY low level!), and VERY nice sound quality indeed!!!!  And the all important '2.52' wrong mix of 'Tell Me' clearly wasnt a favourite track of the previous owner - as it is one of the BEST sounding tracks on the whole LP!!!!  I will give 3 gradings for this LP!!!!  Under extreme light (standing on a chair directly under a 100 watt bulb!) the record must MEGA STRICTLY visually grade Fair (but plays WAY better than this - and the record is still VERY bright and shiny!)!!!!  Under normal room conditions - even when angling under light from a sitting position - the record grades Good+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!)!!!!  And the PLAYING GRADE of this LP is EASILY 'Very Good' - and this LP is still a very VERY playable example indeed!!!!  So if you can live with a few visual imperfections, and will be happy with a GREAT playing, and VERY shiny record - then this is definitely the one to have!!!!  If this record was MINT - it would undoubtedly fetch close to £2000+ - so this is a very VERY rare chance to own this AMAZING Rolling Stones rarity at a cheaper price than a Mint example!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Handling/Playing' inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press 'MacNeill' Flipback Laminated Cover is in GREAT condition - and VERY presentable indeed!!!!  The cover has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO tears, shiny laminate, NO splits, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  There is also some very VERY light wear in the top left corner of the cover back (see pictures) - though this is clearly NOT a sticker tear, is VERY light indeed, and does NOT affect the text or pictures!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still VERY presentable indeed!!!!  THERE IS NO DOUBT AT ALL, THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST ROLLING STONES LPs ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TODAY (WITH THE '2.52' WRONG VERSION OF 'TELL ME'!)!!!!  AND ALTHOUGH THIS ONE ISNT A PERFECT EXAMPLE - IT IS STILL A VERY SOLID PRESENTABLE EXAMPLE, WHICH STILL PLAYS VERY WELL INDEED!!!!  THIS IS A SERIOUSLY RARE OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE TO OWN THIS AMAZING ROLLING STONES RARITY, AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN THE HUGE FORTUNE REQUIRED TO OWN A MINT ONE!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!!  It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP!!!!  THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1964 UK '2.52' 1ST PRESSING OF "THE ROLLING STONES" BY THE ROLLING STONES!!!!  Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
