Megarare second LP by master keyboard player Roland Kovac... he recorded this slightly jazzy instrumental psych opus together with Charly Antolini on drums, F. Loeffler on bass and Siegfried Schwab on guitar... highly recommended if you´re into instrumental exploitation psychedelic music like London's underground, Underground Set, Ugly Custard and Blue Phantom...1 track can be heard on the great and famous "Psychedelic Salvage Company" complilation...
The abstract electric piano and organ play by Roland Kovac leads this imaginative sound impressions followed by great funky drum and percussion breaks, psychedelic guitar and bass… interesting rhythm constructions.
Very progressive, trippy and sometimes jazzy KRAUTROCK with floating guitar work and heavy organ , real progressive KRAUTROCK UNDERGROUND.
The Roland Kovac New Set released several instrumental LPs on the Selected Sound label from Hamburg, the second and third of which, "The master said" (1971) and "Love that" (1972), are good progressive rock with a clear emphasis on jazz. The line-up on "The master said" consisted of top musicians: Master Roland Kovac himself had obtained his doctorate in music as early as 1952 and written numerous classical works and soundtracks. Guitarist Siegfried Schwab had just become famous at that time by working with Et Cetera and other groups and shows his brilliance on this LP with his fuzz guitar. Drummer Charly Antolini ("Knock out") had already been in business for many years and is still first choice on the jazz scene today. The fourth member was Franz Löffler on bass, who had already released several guitar LPs in the 1960s.
Cover has seamsplit left edge, upper left corner bends, otherwise fine. Vinyl has scratches on first 5 minutes of each side and can play with crackling noises. Then record plays near mint.
