Description

For auction is "Introducing ROLAND KIRK," on Argo LP-669, MONO, DG, 1960. With Ira Sullivan and others.

SOUND: VG+

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, a terrific playback experience. Only minor background noise, audible only during the quieter passages. One or two soft tics. Very, very enjoyable (and unique)!

VINYL: VG+ or better

Visually, the vinyl looks great. Glossy and clean, with only superficial marks or scuffs. I'm being super-critical. On gray ARGO labels with deep-grooves, in excellent, clean shape. Only a few spindle marks under bright light.

JACKET: VG/VG+

The jacket is nice. The bottom-center edge is split about 1-inch. The other edges/spine are solid, with average wear. The corners too, have routine wear and fraying. The upper left front cover has a catalogue sticker, and the back has a "promo" stamp. Otherwise, the covers are fairly clean, with light, routine wear or aging.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

A very nice record. No reserve, bidding starts at $15.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
