Description
Louie Louie / Maryann. M- vinyl with perfect labels.
Truly rare and too, too cool, this is one of those singles with historical significance. Richard Berry first cut this classic in 1957 and this release from '61 would be the first direct cover of the song with hundreds more versions to come shortly by every garage band in the country, especially those in the Pacific Northwest.
Also of historical note, this is the first 45 issued on the Tacoma-based Etiquette Records and is actually the Wailers with Roberts singing lead. This has to be the single that started it all since all the rest of the Northwest bands immediately added it to their repertoire.
This version has the sax intro which the Raiders would copy for their version.

FAST, fair-priced shipping and I only use commercial record mailers (no junk cardboard) and I go to the post office at least twice a week. I work hard to maintain my feedback rating. If you'll check my ratings, you'll see the two most common comments are delivery speed and grading accuracy.
(and now for some required fine print)
