Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is another of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by young '50's phenom who left us far too soon, Ritchie Valens. It is yet another album in outstanding, near mint condition - especially the vinyl, but the original "black" jacket isn't bad either (so please read on). The album - obviously released after his tragic death - is entitled "His Greatest Hits - Memorial Album" from 1963. The LP has 12 great songs including his two biggest hits, "La Bamba" and the classic "Donna", plus 10 other great songs - all in MONO and all in outstanding shape (see the pictures above for all of the song titles). In addition to everything else that is great about this LP, I am including as a "throw in" this special 16 page booklet about the life and times of this young entertainer - entitled "His Life Story". The booklet was not any part of the original album release, but was published in 1981 by Rhino Records, and is one super interesting book. LABEL INFO: This original, Del-Fi Label (DFLP-1225) is just about perfect with no real issues at all - not even any spindle lines around the center circle which leads me to believe it had very little actual play. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with, again, absolutely nothing in need of a mention. In my opinion, the vinyl also looks almost as nice as the day it was 1st purchased - really!! JACKET INFO: Finally, this "black" jacket is also in super good condition with very little to mention as flaws - perhaps just the super small scuff marks in the corner areas and some very early signs of light ring wear on the backside only - but that's about all - the all important front side is nearly perfect. In my opinion, this whole package would make a real nice addition to anyone's vintage "oldies" collection!! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this collectible LP is in great shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
