Description

RICK HAYWARD    self titled LP

original 1971 UK LP

catalogue number:  Blue Horizon 2431 006

Top copy of this little-selling rare LP by Rick Hayward, famous with Psych fans for being a member of The Accent.

Hard to strictly categorise this album, as it has elements of folk, blues and rock. Do not be put off by the fact this

came from a music library, it clearly wasn't borrowed often, if at all!

tracks:  side 1:  Lament F' Yorke/Light In The Sky/His Imperial Highness/Prince Chicken Bag/Can't See Any Sign/Neptune/Weasel

side 2:  Dance Of The Sour Grape Fairy/Seeing Through/Minuette/Mongrel/Find Yourself Sometime/Wheels Within Wheels

STRICT GRADING, bid with confidence.

condition:

record: NM  (This looks unbelievably near perfect. No scratches, marks, surface marks.

Obviously barely played. There are just a couple of spindle marks each side.

The label has a library stamp and a 'discarded' stamp, and one side has a library number sticker.

The sound quality is also stunning, apart from the odd pop and crackle, by this i mean very light

not affecting the sound at all even in the quiet parts.)

sleeve: VG+  (The whole sleeve is non-laminated and textured. A combination that makes it almost impossible to

get a perfect example. This is a fantastic one.

The front has just tiny amounts of wear to some of the raised parts of the texture. VERY minor.

The only 'damage' is at the top right corner where a library sticker has been removed. Apart from a

couple of millimetres ALL the textured surface of the sleeve is intact, so it must have been removed

VERY carefully. A slight hard residue from the adhesive remains in places and may be removable, up

to you! A faint image of a library stamp can be seen around this area. Otherwise the front has just

the lightest of rubbing at the top and bottom.

The very delicate spine has a few light patches of fraying, but 'Rick Hayward' is clearly visible

and most of the catalogue number is also visible, just fading with wear towards the end.

The back is even more impressive with no visible signs of wear at all. All texture is FULLY intact

and there are no library stamps or writing either.

All sides of the sleeve are fully intact, with just some light fraying on a couple of sides. The opening

                                  edge is crisp and straight.

Overall a superb example of a great and incredibly rare LP. STRICTLY GRADED.)
