I AM BACK TO LISTING LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1963 U.S. PRESS IMPERIAL RECORDS MONAURAL LP (NOT A REISSUE) titled 'The Rising Surf', an instrumental LP from surf band Richie Allen And The Pacific Surfers. It is Imperial Records catalog number LP 9229, black early 1960s Imperial labels with rays and stars, thick rigid vinyl pressing. Tracks: The Rising Surf, Surfer's Delight, Undercurrent, Foot Stomp U.S.A., The Quiet Surf, Breakin' Out, Skeg-Along-Pete, Ground Swell, Push Off, Swanee River Twang, Put It On, Rumble. Visual condition of record is conservatively a nice high VG+/VG++ with a small amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is also VG+ with the only real flaws being a few slight wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This scarce LP would be a choice addition to any vintage surf rock-n-roll record collection!
