Description
Richard Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen in the original limited Decca Presentation Set: 22 LPs with Booklets / Libretto's and wooden box. UK manufactured 22 Stereo LP Boxed set of the complete edition of Richard Wagner's four part opera, 'Der Ring des Nibelungen', also known as 'The Ring Cycle' featuring the four operas 'Das Rheingold', 'Die Walkure', 'Siegfried' and 'Gotterdammerung'.
Included is the three record Introduction to 'The Ring' set narrated by Deryck Cooke featuring excerpts from the four operas.
Each opera is in its own separate wooden ended partition with full size libretto booklets containing synopsis & full transcription for the operas. The performance is simply the classic version by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti.
The whole ensemble is enclosed in a very weighty carved wooden box with gilded front panel.
The box shows only a little wear
LP’s are in near mint condition. Some records may have been played once or twice others not at all.
