I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A LARGE COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL LABEL 1950s AND EARLY 1960s ROCKABILLY, BLUES, AND R&B 45s, INCLUDING SOME HIGH END ITEMS - I'LL BE LISTING ITEMS FROM THIS COLLECTION OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL (NOT A REPRO) LATE 1950s U.S. GULF STREAM RECORDS 45 RPM RECORD containing the rockabilly tunes titled 'Lucky Day' backed with 'My Shadow' from Hollywood / Miami FL rockabillies The Rhythm Rockets. It is Gulf Stream Records U.S. catalog number U-6555 / U-6554. Matrix numbers are hand etched, U-6655 on the A-side, U-6654 on the B-side. Overall Condition of record grades VG+ and would grade higher as a high VG++ if not for the worn area at the left of the A-side label as can be seen in my accompanying image, B-side label has no such wear. Condition of play surface is VG++ with a small amount of surface marks which cannot be felt and which do not affect play. A-side label has the aforementioned worn area and a little light writing in pencil, both labels have a little wear around the center hole, no other flaws. This 45 would be a choice rare addition to any rockabilly 45 record collection!
