A: RHYTHM FORCE (& GLEN BROWN???) THE WAR IS OVER (Wicked instrumental featuring some killer organ sounds by - I suppose - either Aston "Family Man" Barrett or Ty Downie, the latter even known as "Organ D"...a bit confusing that this riddim appears on one of Glen Brown's dub albums ("The Rhythm Master Presents...Dub From The South East" (RFDPRLP) - which was a limited edition (100 pressed) 12-track blank UK-(pre)release and has the original "War Is Over" (2nd track on side 1) as well as the dub/instrumental version (last track on side 2), the latter w/ an obviously wrong credit on the tracklist-sheet (this states (incorrectly) "Assack Lawn No. 1 Dub"))...some say this is a Lee Perry-production - and the sounds are unmistakeably Upsetter-ish - but it's more likely that it was produced by Aston Barrett & Delroy Phillips...on the other hand it seems even more than a guess to say it's a Glen Brown-t'ing...anyway...serious early reggae...comes on original JA Rhythm Force-imprint...from around 1971/72 I guess...soundfile on request...just send in your email-address...don't miss out...and watch out for my other roots-reggae-items!!!) B: SYN-CO-PA-TION (Definitely cool...these are serious killer-sounds!) ORIGINAL PRESS (NOT A RE-PRESS) FEATURE: COLOURS OF JAH RAINBOW WAX'N'SOUND: vg+ / vg+, both sides show light wear and light surface scratches, plays nicely w/ full punch and excellent, clear sound, some minor crackle to be expected! LABEL: both sides show general wear, NO writings/markings, tiny damage to A-side only - watch the scan, please!" REGGAE - SKA - ROCK STEADY - ROCKSTEADY " Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
