This is the Reference Recording LP by Red Norvo titled "The Forward Look" (RR-8) (1957) (Stereo). ***** This fantastic album was recorded by Keith Johnson on New Years Eve, 1957, in a small club setting, with a sound very much like "Jazz At The Pawnshop". He used a custom made, tube 3 channel stereo tape deck. It was one of the very first made. He used 3 Altec mics, and recorded it as a live club performance. It was half speed mastered by the late, great, Jack Hunt, and pressed on Japanese virgin vinyl. Haf speed mastering was by the late, great Jack Hunt at JVC, and of course pressed by JVC in Japan on 180 gram, virgin vinyl. ***** The songs are: 1. Rhee Waahnee 2. The Forward Look 3. There is a light stain at the lower left corner.
