This is the Reference Recordings 2 LP, 180 gram pressing of the album titled "Arnold Overtures" (RR-48) (1992). Malcolm Arnold is the composer as well as the conductor of these pieces which includes four that were recorded here for the first time - "IN THE SMOKE","A SUSSEX OVERTURE", "THE FAIR FIELD", and "COMMONWEALTH CHRISTMAS OVERTURE". This limitied edition recording was partially funded by the Absolute Sound, and ended up on the TAS list as a must have recording. It is half speed mastered from the Original Master Tapes that were recorded using Keith Johnson's custom electronics. ************ The jacket is in beautiful condition with the exception of a small rub mark right below "Arnold" on the front cover (see photo). There are no splits, bends or corner dings. The record is in beautiful NM condition with no scratches, marks or signs of play. There are no spindle marks on the labels.
