RED self titled 2004 EP, still in great condition. This came out in 2004 and proceeded End of Silence (you can see on the CD that is says to watch for RED’s debut album coming in 2006). The 4 songs were added to EOS, with Breathe being renamed Breathe Into Me.
I got the CD from a show back in either 2004 or 2005 in Kansas City at a Christian club called Back2Life that is no longer there. A local band opened, RED played next and Spoken was the headliner. There was only maybe 35 people there and I was in the front row of the small crowd while RED rocked my face off. After their set, I went over to their small merch table. The band was there hanging out and talking to people and I remember just walking up to them and telling them they blew me away and surprised me like crazy! I got to talk to them and bought this EP. A few years ago, I got it signed by a couple of the guys. They stared at it like they had no idea what it was then I could see it click as their faces turned into smiles and got the “Old Skool” written on it. You can see by the managers info listed on the CD that this is simply a small band’s first attempt at marketing themselves.
This hurts me selling it just because of these stories and the memories I’ve had with it. But, I know RED fans nowadays are diehards and some would love to have this as a part of their collection more than me having it sit on my shelf. I can say I’ve never seen another one of these out there, and it’s not even listed in their discography. So, it’s safe to say that this thing is RARE, if not close to one of kind since I would assume not many people kept their copies.
