RED RODNEY – RED RODNEY RETURNS, FEATURING BILLY ROOT – ARGO 643 – M-/EX - MONO

Recorded in Philadelphia on February 16 & 17, 1959, this Argo session features Red Rodney on trumpet, Billy Root on tenor, Danny Kent on piano, Jay Cave on bass and Frank Young on drums. SIDE 1: SHAW ‘NUFF; RED, HOT AND BLUE; I REMEMBER YOU and 5709. SIDE 2: WHIRLWIND; JORDU; SHELLEY and TWO BY TWO. This is a MONO recording.

I’ve graded the LP as M- and the record Jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides of the LP is completely clean of any marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side of the LP. The vinyl still retains its original luster. The record jacket has is in excellent condition and just misses a M- grading. There is some slight wear on the cover and there is a small split in the middle of the bottom seam.
