Red Rockers: "Guns Of Revolution" (Vinyl Solution VS-003, 1980) VINYL = M-- / SLEEVE (XEROX) = M Primera edició d’aquest "clàssic menor" del punk americà. Gravat als Estudis Austin (lògicament d’Austin, Texas) en juny de 1980, conté 3 temes(*) que són una brillant mostra del millor punk melòdic. D’aquest llegendary 7" només se’n van fer 750 còpies, i la majoria anaven sense portada… fins al punt que en una discografia "semioficial" d’internet (la pàgina RED ROCKERS CHRONOLOGICAL DISCOGRAPHY) s’afirma que el disc va ser editat sense portada; d’ací que, si ja és prou difícil trobar-ne un exemplar, trobar-lo amb la portada original és pràcticament impossible… i caríssim: fa un parell d’anys, en un "mail order" alemany se’n va vendre un per 320 EUR.! Aquesta còpia està en un estat de conservació QUASI EXCEL·LENT (l’únic indici dels 30 anys d’existència d’aquest vinil és un lleugeríssim "ringwear" en una de les "galletes"); lamentablement, però, LA PORTADA ÉS UNA "REPRODUCCIÓ" FOTOCOPIADA (molt ben feta, això sí: l’única diferència amb l’original seria que el paper no és "granulat"… i que els blancs no són tan brillants). (*) A: Guns Of Revolution // B: Teenage Underground / Nothing To Lose First pressing of this legendary EP, one of the best melody punk records from USA. Recorded at Austin recording Studio on June 1980, it features 3 tracks(*) # according to an EARLY EBAY AUCTION: "all three tracks of this American masterpiece sound suuper-fresh, powerful and hyper-melodic"; # according to FLEX website: "rocking and professional punk rock with strong Clash influence on vocals and music. Melodic and catchy stuff, an obscure mini-classic"; # according to BREAK MY FACE website: "New orleans’ Red Rockers –who took their sound from the Clash and their name from the Dils– produced a fine little debut EP. None of their follow-ups could really touch Guns Of Revolution, though the band did gain some moderate commercial success". Although 750 copies were made, most copies came in a plain white paper sleeve and only a few were issued with a picture sleve: so, the original picture sleeve is really hard to find (two years ago a German "mail order" sold it for 320 EUR.!). This copy for sale is in NEAR MINT condition (only "defect" is a light ringwear on Side-A label); but unfortunately THE SLEEVE IS A "XEROXED" REPRO (also in MINT condition). ---------- L'enviament d’aquest article es farà únicament per correu certificat: així, ens estalviarem tots problemes… Gràcies per ser comprensius!
