Description
Here's one of my FAVORITE " HOT ROD / RACING " LP'S that I have listened to many, many times and every time I do, it brings the great sounds of NASCAR to life.
This amazing recording is from the " REBEL 300 " 300 miles GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP STOCK CAR RACE, DARLINGTON INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, DARLINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA. The year was 1963 and this official recording was done by FLEETWOOD RECORDS who was the official company that produced many NASCAR races, drag races, Sebring , and Formula One races.
SIDE ONE:
THE SOUNDS OF PRACTICE RUNS
OPENING CEREMONIES
THE START
SIDE TWO:
RECORDED HIGHLIGHTS AND FINISH
NARRATED BY RAY MELTON
This particular recording has some of the most famous drivers of NASCAR: FIREBALL ROBERTS; RICHARD PETTY; CALE YARBOROUGH; NED JARRETT; JUNIOR JOHNSON; POSSUM JONES AND MANY MORE!!!
This is a MUST have for any " TRUE " NASCAR FAN!
The record itself is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with not visible flaws.
The cover or jacket is in near mint condition with only a couple of small bumps on two of the corners and.....NO SEAM SPLITS
FLEETWOOD RECORDS FLP4006 / STEREO COMPETITON SERIES RECORDING!
VERY, VERY RARE RECORDING !!!
This would look great framed up in a nice LP frame in your office, den, HOT ROD Garage or Shop.
