Seldom offered for sale 1st press with Blue Elephant Records logo on the laminated sleeve and vinyl with the Pink Elephant labels. The Brazilian issue on Polydor is a later pressing. Next level, rare groove by these maverick Dutch / Surinamese musicians. Easily, one of the hottest and funkiest recordings from Europe. Punishing, latin tinged funk with hammond / amazing guitars / rocked-out basslines and hard afro percussion spike psychedelic soul themes with both male and female vocals. Hammering breaks and beats (one for the latin loving Bboys ;) or groovy and soulful with a message. Every track is superb with several club tunes for DJs. Our soundclip opens with the fabulously slick and infectious ACAPULCO GOLD then ACROSS THE OCEAN / GACHERO / MUSIC IN MY HEAD / MACK ONE and NOWHERE TO HIDE followed by the rest of the recording. Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with some hairlines / scuffs and faded old pressing marks. Surface noises. Also some soft pops / ticks in places (as you can hear on the soundclip). Audible glitch midway 2nd track due to power surge while recording. Booming production sound. The laminated sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with edge and corner wear in places / ring creasing from storage / ring dirt marks to back sleeve. Some laminate peeling to middle spine area. Some wear to middle of open side (back sleeve). Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very rare Lp!!!
