Description
*** FAUST CARMEN ***
RCA LM-2449 (Mono)
Rare fist pressing... Stampers are 1-S/ 1-S respectively. (Year: 1960)
*** SIDE ONE: Gounod- Faust- Ballet Music
*** SIDE TWO: Bizet- Carmen- Suite
Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden
Alexander Gibson, Conductor
I didn't think this one was as special as the Living Stereo copies until I listened to it. It has a full rich sound and to me, sounds better than the stereo copies. I turned up the sound, closed my eyes and felt like I was sitting in front of the orchestra. I just finished listening to both sides with the following comments. Side one had one click/pop in between one of the selections. Side two had one click/pop during one of the selections. Played absoulutely Near Mint- and should please any audiophile listener!
*** CONDITION:
The album cover is VG+ or better... It does have a small, hardly noticeable crease at the top right on the front and minor wear for it's age otherwise. There is a 2" seam split at the top right. The graphics are strong and bright with gloss. Very displayable.
The vinyl is Near Mint- on both sides. Not a rub or scratch and still very glossy. The labels are flawless with no center wear or spindle marks.
Just a VERY ENJOYABLE listening experience!
NOTE: Record(s) will be shipped in a generic paper sleeve and a strong 45rpm. shipping box with bubble wrap or cardboard fillers. ( Note: A company sleeve or picture sleeve will be sent when available.)
