Description

The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega Planar 3 turntable fitted with an Elys cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. Any significant playing defects will be detailed in the description below. I know how disappointing it is to receive a record graded as excellent, only to find that listening pleasure is spoiled by endless pops, loud clicks and intrusive background crackle. I guarantee that you will not buy such a record from me!!

The winning bidder can expect to receive a clean record, carefully packaged, with the vinyl removed from the inner and outer sleeves to prevent splits in transit.

Here for auction is a SUPERB EXAMPLE of the album by RAYMOND FROGGATT titled “BLEACH”, Catalogue Number 2308 041. This is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK FIRST PRESSING on the BELL RECORDS LABEL, with the EARLIEST A-1U, B-1U MATRIX NUMBERS. Extremely hard to find in the condition offered here!!

The single laminated FIRST PRESS SLEEVE is in EXCELLENT+ CONDITION. The front and back covers are pristine. The edges and corners show barely any signs of wear at all. The two flipbacks on the back cover are perfect. The spine is solid with all text clearly legible, with the ends crimped neatly as they should be. There are no rips, stickers or writing. Overall a beautiful sleeve which will be difficult to improve upon!!

The record retains much of its original lustre and sits flat and true on the turntable. Visually in EXCELLENT CONDITION, there are just light sleeve removal type surface marks, which are of no audio significance. The beautiful SILVER BELL LABELS show only a few light spindle traces and are otherwise unmarked. I am confident that the record has not been played many times.

PLAYGRADE ASSESSMENT:

Both sides play SUPERBLY with ALL FREQUENCIES CRYSTAL CLEAR. There are no pops or loud clicks, just occasional light crackle which is never intrusive. An absolute pleasure to listen to.

Complete with plastic liner inner (a standard inner sleeve will not fit inside the sleeve due to the pronounced crimping of the spine ends).
